Q1. What attracted you to Yoga? Tell us briefly.
Meditation, it was 10 years ago in 2013 and I experienced meditation for the first time with a Buddhist Monk and I loved it and I wanted to have a regular practice.
Q2. Your specialized area in Yoga? Do you also teach Yoga?
I am a certified Hatha yoga instructor. But I try to go deeper when it comes to sharing with my students, I’m truly in love with all the yoga teachings and tools and I try to transmit that to them, the yoga on and off the mat, yoga as a lifestyle. Mostly because most of the people here in Mexico thinks of yoga only as the asana practice.
Q3. Should people practice yoga?
Absolutely, there’s so much to learn about these magical teachings that we can bring into our daily lives that will certainly fulfill our hearts and give us purpose.
Q4. How does your peer group in Mexico see Yoga?
Most of my students find yoga when they are in difficult situations. So they are amazed by the wonderful benefits of their practice, they certainly have found peace and a path.
Q5. Given India’s Leadership in the field of Yoga, how do you see it?
I’m truly inspired by this country mostly because of their practice of AHIMSA, the respect they have for all living beings. In my yoga practice off the mat I help animals in need and I promote a life free from animal exploration. And I’m truly impressed to know that 40% of Indian people are vegetarian that fulfills my heart and gives me hope for other countries like mine.
