Diaspora Services
Two ways the newsroom serves you, beyond the journalism.
The Diaspora Dreams newsroom is not a law firm and not a financial adviser. But we can do two things journalism is built for: answer the questions diaspora readers keep asking, and surface the patterns of where the Indian government's systems are failing the diaspora.
Editorial Q&A
Ask the newsroom
Submit a question — about OCI cards, NRI tax, visas, property, dual education systems, anything diaspora-relevant. We answer commonly-asked questions as journalism, with sources cited.
Public answers. Private identity. We never name a reader without permission.

Grievances
Share a grievance
Tell us privately what is failing for you with Indian government processes — OCI renewal delays, consulate appointment backlogs, e-arrival card issues. We aggregate patterns and report them. We also point you to the official channels you can use.
Private intake. Editorial follow-up only when patterns emerge.

What this section is not
- Not legal or financial advice. We are journalists. For binding advice on your situation, consult a registered Chartered Accountant, an Indian lawyer, or a Bar-registered solicitor in your country of residence.
- Not a forwarding service to the Government of India. We have no relationship with the MEA, the MHA, the Income Tax Department, or any consulate that would let us submit grievances on your behalf. We point you to the official channels.
- Not an emergency service. For consular emergencies — death, distress, hospitalisation, lost passport abroad — contact your nearest Indian mission directly, or the 24-hour helpline at the relevant consulate.
